Pianist Kasey Kay

January's free family music program sponsored by the Friends of the Carmel Valley Library will be held on Wednesday, June 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the Library’s community room. It will feature pianist Kasey Kay. The program will last 45 minutes.

Kasey Kay, a native of Seoul, Korea, has developed a stellar reputation and following for both technical brilliance and interpretive nuance and captures the passion and emotive sensitivity of the composers she admires. She began the up and coming season with three concerts one at the Athenaeum in La Jolla and the other at the Lyceum, downtown and the other at the Encinitas library in March. Her program will include Prelude Op. 28 No. 4 in E minor by Chopin, Prelude No.6 in D minor BWV 875 by J.S. Bach, Prelude Op.3 No.2 in C Sharp minor by Rachmaninoff and Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 in C Sharp minor by Liszt. Her dazzling performances have delighted audiences throughout the county for more than 10 years and brought them back for more. The library is located at 3919 Townsgate Drive in Carmel Valley.
