The Carmel Valley Library presents: MALVYN LAI, PIANO. October’s free family music program sponsored by the Friends of the Carmel Valley Library will be held on October, 11 at 7:00 PM in the library’s community room. Award winning, 12 year old pianist Malvyn Lai will present a program of works by Bach, Beethoven, Liszt, and Chopin. Since age 5, Malvyn has studied with Dr. Irina Bendetsky. At age 9, he performed his first public solo recital which was featured by Fox 5 San Diego evening news. He debuted as soloist with the Kostroma Symphony Orchestra in Russia and has gone on to perform locally with the Inland Valley Symphony, Temecula Valley Symphony, the Grossmont Symphony Orchestra. His national and international concerts have taken him to New York, Hungary, and Poland.
