The February 2011 Carmel Valley North Maintenance Assessment District (MAD) meeting has been canceled due to lack of agenda items. Next meeting in March.
The Carmel Valley Recreation Council will meet on February 1, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the Carmel Valley Recreation Center. The agenda is available here for download (201102_cvrc_agenda.pdf). Discussion will include Carmel Grove Park improvements, a CVRC Financial report, and Summer Serenades concert funding.
The Carmel Valley Community Planning Board will meet on Thursday, January 27 at 7:00 PM at the Carmel Valley Library. The Carmel Valley Community Planning Board's Regional Issues Subcommittee will meet on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. in AMN Healthcare's "High Bluff" Room, 12400 High Bluff Dr. The agenda includes two items:
- "Flower Hill Promenade" Draft EIR, Project 172026 - Review revised DEIR and prepare comments for Board action.
- Update on Pending Proposals/Discussion of Status of Proposals the Board has Acted on.
The DEIR has been revised to reflect proposal changes as they were presented to the Regional Issues Subcommittee 9/1/10 and to the board October 2010.
The CV Rec Council meeting and the CV North MAD Subcommittee meeting for January have been canceled. They both normally meet on the first Tuesday of the month at the CV Rec Center, but have no agenda items due to the holidays. Next meetings in February 2011.
The Carmel Valley Library appears to be closed until January 3. The CV Rec Center is open this week, but will close over the weekend (Friday to Sunday, Jan 2).
The first free concert at the Carmel Valley Library this January is on Wed., Jan. 12th at 7:00 p.m. It will explore the life of Claude Debussy: flower child, impressionist, and revolutionary, with narration by Joanne Regenhardt, vocals by Janelle DeStefano, and piano accompaniment and solos by James Frimmer. The program will last 45 minutes. The second free music program is on Wed., Jan. 26th at 6:00 p.m., and will feature several advanced flute students of Elena Yarritu. They will be accompanied by pianist Diane Snodgrass. The program will last about 90 minutes. The concerts are sponsored by the Friends of the Carmel Valley Library, which is located at 3919 Townsgate Drive in Carmel Valley.
