CV Rec Center
The Carmel Valley Recreation Council will meet on a SPECIAL day, Wednesday, July 19, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Carmel Valley Recreation Center (3777 Townsgate Drive.) Sorry about the late notice! The CV Rec Council Meeting Agenda is attached here, or see the CV Parks Page for additional information on parks in the community and their operation. The agenda includes a bunch of administrative items like Bylaws, new programs, printed brochure content, etc. There will also be a brief presentation on naming the SR-56 Trail, also known as the "CVREP Trail". If you want to use a community park for a large group, reserve a space for a party, put up a party jump, etc., or if you want to run a commercial operation in a park (professional training, sports field use, etc.), you may need a permit. For the parks NORTH of the SR-56 freeway, call the CV Rec Center at 858-552-1616 (see the CV Brochure for more info.) For parks SOUTH of SR-56, call the Ocean Air Rec Center at 858-552-1687 (see the Ocean Air Brochure for more info.)
Here's a listing of the summer movies in the local parks. Ocean Air is showing Minions on July 8. Carmel Valley is showing The Good Dinosaur on July 16, and Sage Canyon Neighborhood park is showing Inside Out on August 12. Bring your blanket, pillow and/or beach chair to these fun and free events. Come early and enjoy activities for all ages. Events start at 6:00pm, movies start at dusk. The Carmel Valley Community Park Summer Program for 2016 is available online. The brochure has information on classes and activities available at the park (3777 Townsgate, 858-552-1616).
