2011 CV Rec Center Fall Program

Here's the Carmel Valley Recreation Center Fall 2011 Program Brochure. Fall Program Registration begins September 10 at 9:00 am, see the program for complete information. The usual conditions apply -- lines sometimes form early for popular classes; historically, only a few classes fill the first day; numbers handed out at 7:00 am; one number per family; you can't get a number for your friend; etc. See the CV Parks Page for additional information on parks in the community and their operation. Note that there is some possibility of online registration, but likely NOT for this session.

Outdoor Movie at the CV Rec Center, Aug. 6

Keep your summer fun going with an event for the whole family! On Saturday, August 6th, Time Warner Cable brings you Disney’s Tangled, a free movie event for the entire family! Pack up your beach chairs and join the fun at our Moonlight Movie event at Carmel Valley Community Park, 3777 Townsgate Drive on Saturday, August 6th (upper field).  The fun starts at 5pm with Mad Science, Obstacle Courses and Master Sports Laser Tag! Pizza, popcorn, candy and drinks will be sold.  The movie starts at dusk. Bring your blankets, low-back sand chairs and the whole family for fun in the sun, games, and a movie under the stars.  Admission is free. August 2011 CV North MAD Meeting Canceled.

The August 2, 2011 Meeting of the Carmel Valley Planning Board's Maintenance Assessment District (MAD) has been canceled. Next meeting in September.

Summer Park Concerts, July 2011

The Annual Summer Serenades concerts in the parks start this Sunday, July 10 at 5:00 PM at Solana Highlands Park. Bring a blanket or low beach chair and enjoy an evening of wonderful music in the park! This is a great place to picnic, visit with neighbors, dance with your kids, or just enjoy the music. It’s entertainment for the whole family. The complete schedule includes:

  • July 10 at Solana Highlands Park: Atomic Groove.
  • July 17 at Ashley Falls Park: The Corvettes.
  • July 24 at Solana Highlands Park: Upstream.
  • July 31 at Ashley Falls Park: Eve Selis.

No Meetings Tonight, July 5, 2011

The Carmel Valley Recreation Council meeting is canceled on July 5, 2011 as is the Carmel Valley MAD meeting. I guess everyone's still on vacation. Next meeting for both groups is the first Tuesday of August.

Program Registration Information

  • Some programs now manage their own registration online (such as Youth Sports Leagues, Camps, Special Events, Master Sports Programs, Kids City Programs & Senior Fitness). See the program schedule for details.
  • Regular Program Registration begins at 9:00 am, however, some individuals arrive early to get the best choice. Numbers are generally issued at 7:00 AM. See program for details.
  • Carmel Valley Tennis call the pro shop at 858-504-4181 for details. After-school lessions; adult clinics; and private, semi-private or group lessons are all available. For information, see www.CarmelValleyTennis.net.
  • City Park & Recreation Dance Department see the City Dance Page for details. Register at the first class.
  • Men's Basketball Leagues, Adult Softball Leagues and Adult Volleyball Leagues: Read the Rec Center Current Program Brochure for details.
