A special meeting of the Carmel Valley Community Planning Board this week: Thurs, Jan 17, 2013, 5:00 PM at the Pardee Homes office, 6025 Edgewood Bend Court, San Diego, CA 92130 (this is in Pacific Highlands Ranch at the east end of Del Mar Heights Road, near the Fire Station.) There are four items on the agenda: Home business for personal training on Roxton Ct, speed limit on Carmel Park Drive, subdivision of a lot in PHR, and the Village at Pacific Highlands Ranch. December’s free family music program sponsored by the Friends of the Carmel Valley Library and the Del Mar Heights office of the Union Bank will be presented on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the library’s community room. It will feature Semi-Sweet, a group of local musical moms who will present a program of holiday songs. Semi-Sweet was formed 12 years ago and has since performed at a variety of public and private venues in San Diego, including this library. Its members are Linda Bessey, Christine Francis, Elizabeth Ingersoll, Carolyn Johnson, Raquel Lonas, Mary Beth Rane, and Karen Schooley. The program will last 45 minutes. Remember the election? Seems like forever ago! Well, the County has finally finished counting the votes, and the
One of my favorite holiday (and beyond!) toy drives, the local Law Enforcement Teddy Bear Drive! This is a drive to collect stuffed animals for kids at Rady Children's Hospital. My kids have benefitted from this, and for a child, getting a stuffed animal after surgery is very comforting. The local Carmel Valley Police Station on El Camino Real will have a collection box at the front counter for new stuffed animals with tags still attached. Drop off on Mondays or Thursdays, 8am-4pm.
