January's free family music program sponsored by the Friends of the Carmel Valley Library will be held on Wednesday, January 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Library’s community room. It will feature pianist/composer and Steinway artist Louis Landon. He specializes in music that creates a more loving and peaceful world by writing, recording and performing, music from the heart. He has recorded and released 18 CDs that include music spanning many styles including classical, pop, and Latin genres. The program will last 45 minutes. The group was formed in 2000 and performs regularly in the San Diego area in many community and charitable events. The program will last 45 minutes. In aChord is directed by Bob Wuertz. Its members are Jeff Boss, Jayson Coleman, Robert Cornelia, Dmitry Farber, Mark Ghio, Max Giang, Paul Jennings, Kevin Marquez, Bob McMains, Richard Morrison, Michael Stanley, and Bob Stich. An evening of holiday cheer along with the last food truck event at The Village at Pacific Highlands Ranch will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. The Village at Pacific Highlands Ranch is located at 13490 Pacific Highlands Ranch Parkway. The food trucks will not be back, next year the center will open a bunch of new restaurants to cover your dining needs.
The Village at Pacific Highlands Ranch (east of Carmel Valley on Del Mar Heights Road, by CCA High School) is holding its Food Truck Night Wednesday as normal this week. Give yourself a break from cooking on the day before Thanksgiving. Plus, there will be Live Entertainment & Tons of Fun! On November 25th from 5-8 pm, the Carmel Valley Food Truck Line Up is: Cousins Maine Lobster, Urban Eats, Mangia Mangia, That's What Cheese Said, and Salt + Lime! Actors’ Conservatory Theatre (www.actsandiego.com) presents an adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, with a 31 member youth and young adult cast.
