SDG&E has cited concerns about tree damage to the powerlines to suggest cutting down or severely trimming up to 75 trees in the Carmel Mission Park powerline corridor (just north of the "Bay Club", formerly "Pacific Athletic Club"). Enclosed are some documents relating to that project as proposed to the "MAD Subcommittee" (Maintenance Assessment District or MAD) of the Carmel Valley Community Planning Board (CVCPB) over the last 4 months. Note that no decision has been made on this proposal, and the issue will next be heard at the CVCPB meeting on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 7:00 PM at the Carmel Valley Library on Townsgate. Contact information for SDG&E on this project is Greg Peck (email@example.com, 619-405-8120) or Michael Daleo (firstname.lastname@example.org, 858-654-8630). Contact information for the City Council office is Barbara Bry (email@example.com or see the CD1 Web Page.) Also, see the Carmel Mission Park overview document, the SDG&E Tree Information document, and the SDG&E Tree Initial Draft Proposal document.
Here are the Carmel Valley Neighborhood 4a precise plan documents. This includes the N4a Precise Plan, the N4a Precise Plan 1989 Amendment, and the N4a Precise Plan 1997 Amendment. For reference, here is the Carmel Valley Neighborhood Map (scroll down below the voting district map to see the community neighborhood map.)
Here's an old amendment to the Neighborhood 4 plan that updated the Seabreeze Farms Equestrian Center to its present form.
The Carmel Valley Planning Board's Landscape Maintenance Subcommittee will discuss options for possible tree removal in the powerline corridor near the Bay Club (or, "PAC"). SDG&E has determined that a number of trees pose a danger to the adjacent powerlines, and would like community input. Meeting is on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 4:30 PM at the Carmel Valley Recreation Center on Townsgate. See the Agenda for the meeting.
The Carmel Valley Community Planning Board's MAD Subcommitte (for Carmel Valley & Pacific Highlands Ranch) will meet on Tuesday, Nov 1, 2016 At the Carmel Valley Recreation Center on Townsgate at 4:30 pm. See the AGENDA and Staff Reports (Attached) for details. Additional information on the planning board and its subcommittees can be found at the CV Planning Board Page on this site.
