SDG&E Carmel Mission Powerline Tree Information

SDG&E has cited concerns about tree damage to the powerlines to suggest cutting down or severely trimming up to 75 trees in the Carmel Mission Park powerline corridor (just north of the "Bay Club", formerly "Pacific Athletic Club"). Enclosed are some documents relating to that project as proposed to the "MAD Subcommittee" (Maintenance Assessment District or MAD) of the Carmel Valley Community Planning Board (CVCPB) over the last 4 months. Note that no decision has been made on this proposal, and the issue will next be heard at the CVCPB meeting on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 7:00 PM at the Carmel Valley Library on Townsgate. CV Discussion of Tree Removal in Powerline Corridor, Oct 3, 2017

The Carmel Valley Planning Board's Landscape Maintenance Subcommittee will discuss options for possible tree removal in the powerline corridor near the Bay Club (or, "PAC"). SDG&E has determined that a number of trees pose a danger to the adjacent powerlines, and would like community input. Meeting is on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 4:30 PM at the Carmel Valley Recreation Center on Townsgate. See the Agenda for the meeting.
